Memberium is proud to announce Wishlist acquisition!

Wishlist member acquired by Memberium, Memberium is a San Francisco-based family tech company that was founded in 2020. The company  is currently selling its free Memberium Product List Creator app and two paid apps, Memberium Product List Creator Pro and Memberium Gift Guide. The free app has been downloaded more than 5000 times, and the paid pro version has been bought by 300 customers so far.

Memberium’s product lineup focuses on family tech products, such as  strollers, baby monitors, and other gifts. The company will use the new funding to broaden its product offering, including home and personal care categories.

Wishlist member acquired by Memberium and the funds will be allocated towards expanding marketing initiatives, specifically targeting bigger brands that have products listed on Shopify.

Anita Kummerer, the founder and CEO of Memberium, mentioned that the funding would be used to expand the team, develop new products, and enhance marketing efforts. He said that they are excited to expand their product and service offerings to assist families with gift-giving needs and daily use items such as groceries.

Family tech products are designed specifically for families, unlike other tech products that are more suited for individuals. These products are tailored to address the unique requirements and dynamics of a family unit. Their availability is geared towards assisting families in various aspects of their lives. With Memberium’s free app, users can easily create wish lists for their friends and family. These wish lists can include product images and links that take users directly to the retailer’s product page.The Pro version of the app allows customers  to create their own product lists and gift guides, with the ability to add their own images and text.

According to a 2020 survey by Family Online Safety Agency, nearly half of family members over the age of 12 use digital tech to keep in touch with one another. And family tech companies are emerging to serve this market. BabyTechMedia publishes  The Family Tech Magazine, and FintechFamily has articles and reports about family finance products.

 According to TechNavio, the global family technology market was worth $117.5 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach $175.4 billion by 2024, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.4 percent.

Family tech is an emerging category, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of building the category for the tech industry, he said.

In 2014, Memberium received its first angel investment, and the new Series A round brings its total funding to $7 million. The money will be used to further develop the Pro version of the app, expand product lines, and grow the team.

Paul Kummerer, VP of Technology at RSA, expressed his pride in the team’s achievements with the free app version. He mentioned the plan to enhance the Pro version for larger companies and families, while also providing additional benefits to the free users.
